“My proudest competitive moment would have to be the '98 Pipeline Masters. Beating Bruce Irons in the final, it's always a childhood dream to win Pipe, so I pulled that one off.”

“My best coaching moment would have to be in 2019, Steph Gilmore and Kanoa Igarashi winning the world tour event in Bali at Keramas. That was incredible, to get two wins at the same event, it was unbelievable.” 

The We Are Feel Good Inc. idea was born around a campfire when Jake and his family were on holiday in the North West of WA with two other families from the South West.

“I’m super proud that we made it all happen, it wasn’t just an idea around a campfire that went up in smoke. We live in a small town in one of the most remote states in Australia and we have grown a company that should be global in the next couple of years.”

“If you have ever started a company from scratch you know it isn’t easy; the rules and regulations that come with making sunscreen are crazy, each country has different rules.”

“What I'm most happy about is our recycling program that our team has developed and implemented. We have teamed up with Precious Plastic Margaret River, Precious Plastic Victoria and Socially Plastic Sydney and have about 50 participating stores around Australia where people can drop off their used We Are Feel Good Inc. bottles for recycling.”
