Spring Clean Your Skin Care Routine

For the same reason you're meant to transition your skincare routine at the start of winter, you should do the same as we head into the warmer weather. And with spring here, it's time to spring clean your skincare! As much as we’re all ready to bask in the sunshine, your skin needs some time to adjust. Below we take a look at a few things you can do to get your skin and beauty routine ready for the warmer weather ahead.

Say YES to SPF!

If you didn't know already, SPF is your best friend and should be a part of your daily skincare routine. It's especially important for blemish prone skin types, and it's your best defense against skin cancer and actually slows the process of skin aging, by helping to prevent fine lines and wrinkles in skin texture.

When spring cleaning your skincare regimen, be sure to invest in a sunscreen that feels good so you wear it every day. Even if your beauty routine consists of makeup with SPF in it, it’s usually not enough to provide adequate broad spectrum protection. “A broad spectrum, SPF 50 sunscreen is key to ensuring adequate coverage and protection against UV rays,”- Dr Scott McGregor.

Keep Your Skin Plumped With Antioxidants!

Antioxidants are key to keeping your skin looking radiant and healthy. Did you know antioxidants can also help prevent sun damage and premature ageing? Supercharge your protection against sun damage and use an SPF with added antioxidants. Our all new Kakadu Plum SPF 50+ is full of Vitamin C from the native Australian Kakadu Plum, meaning it not only provides broad spectrum SPF 50+ protection, but it also helps to mop up free radicals in skin cells caused by sun exposure.

Read My Lips…

Our lips are almost always forgotten about when it comes to skin care and sun protection. Our lips are also prone to dead skin cells and there’s nothing worse than chapped, dry lips so make sure you're adding a moisturising lip balm with SPF to your spring cleaning list to keep your lips hydrated and protected. Our Coconut Lip Balm SPF 50+ provides broad spectrum, SPF 50+ protection and is enriched with Vitamin E, Cocoa Oil, Shea Butter and Omega 3, 6 & 9. Throw it in your makeup bag, pucker up, and let Coconut Lip Balm do the rest.

Lather Up!

Post-winter, our skin can emerge a little dry and unloved after months hidden under layers of clothing. Choose a moisturiser that absorbs quickly and is enriched with emollients for extra hydration and nourishment for help with balancing oil production in our skin's barrier. If you have acne prone skin, are prone to allergies or have sensitive skin, opt for a lighter moisturiser that is fragrance free and dermatologically tested, like our new Sensitive Body Milk from our beauty collection.
