Simple Skincare for Mums

Simple Skincare for Mums

As a mum you don't always have time for a multi-step skincare routine. Keep your routine simple with our Face the Day range.

Simplicity in the AM…

Stick to a simple routine that you can fit in morning and night. It doesn’t need to be multiple steps, especially if you choose multi-action products that contain a range of beneficial ingredients. For example, choose a morning moisturiser that doubles as an SPF 50, broad spectrum sunscreen.

As well as this, look for one that contains hydrating ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Jojoba and Squalane to combat dehydration and dryness. For the ultimate skincare ‘cherry on top’, find a product that’s enriched with ingredients that contain antioxidant properties (think Tomato Extract and Carnosine).

Think this skincare all rounder doesn’t exist? Think again. Our Good Morning SPF 50 not only provides broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, it also contains all of the hydrating and antioxidant enriched goodies mentioned above!

… and the PM

For the PM, choose a night time moisturiser that contains clinically proven 'active' ingredients to maximise the skin’s renewal process while you sleep.

A great example of a clinically proven, active ingredient is Niacinamide, an absolute must-have in your daily skin regime. Many people choose to use a Niacinamide serum prior to moisturiser, but when you use a multi-action product like our Good Night Skin Restoring Cream, you'll find this multifactorial skin superstar present at a 7% therapeutic level - aka, no serum is needed! (One less skincare step? Yes please!) Niacinamide can also help to reduce inflammatory conditions like acne and rosacea, which can both become a problem during and after pregnancy.

Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, is another great example which can assist with lightening the appearance of melasma. Melasma can be a big problem for mums during and post pregnancy so it’s important to incorporate Vitamin C, Niacinamide and a daily SPF into your skincare routine to help keep breakouts at bay. Vitamin C can also work to correct hyperpigmentation and even out skin tone.
